First of all, I would try to download the file again, to see if it's really damaged - delete the file from /usr/portage/distfiles and try emerging again - if the digest still differs, try: # ebuild /usr/portage/media-video/mplayer/mplayer-0.92.ebuild digest That generates new MD5-Digest sums for the files.
