I changed my hardware setup and know I keep getting the following message with dmesg: (...) sda : block size assumed to be 512 bytes, disk size 1GB. sda: Write Protect is off /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0: I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0 I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0 sr0: CDROM not ready. Make sure there is a disc in the drive.
The last line repeats itself 24 times, and the output of dmesg ends. Sure enough, there is no CDROM in the drive, but why should there be? Any guess on what I'm doing wrong? I don't have scsi devices, BTW, only hdc=ide-scsi in grub.conf (the CDRW is /dev/hdc). -- Jorge Almeida -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
