I installed zope yestarday and i am a newby to zope also. I actualy started of by installing plone which first installed zope and the cmf and some other packages. If you looked closely there was a message on screen during install on how to set the admin password: zope-config -zpasswd
start zope /etc/init.d/zope-2.6 start Then point your browser to http://localhost:8080/manage You are in then you just need to know how to manage zope read the docs on zope from there.
