Yes, I think I've learned this over the last few days. The Silicon Image chip is the most supported one, followed not so closely by anything else? I also found an Intel MB with SATA support working for Redhat. Anything with an Intel 875P chipset apparently. I've also tried writing a couple of SATA developers but haven't received a reply yet. Are you using raid? We do not want to, so I just want to make sure that there is no requirement to use raid.
