It's experimental in windows too! :)
I had to do some NTFS resizing 2-3 weeks ago now. Also using knoppix, but not 
parted, just ntfs-resize (or whatever the command actually is). It worked a 
treat. I suspect I may have also run the ntfs fixer thingy (you'll see it).
