hell... Damn, I am not on a linux machine right now.. pam, whatever the package is that deals with group functions.. qpkg can give you that.. And recompile the kernel of course.. See how far you get with that.. You can then test what your doing below to see if we are on the right track... Then see how far you get with apache, being apache is just using os calls, it shouldn't need to be compiled.
BTW, recompile the kernel goes first.. :) I have never changed it so I am just working off my head what I would do.
