I feel happy with my scsi disks : 

/dev/sda:
 Timing buffer-cache reads:   1980 MB in  2.00 seconds = 989.01 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads:  196 MB in  3.00 seconds =  65.25 MB/sec
