howdie all i am busy doing a stage 1 install i have just chrooted and edited my make.conf file but now when i type env-update
i get this error
!!! Invalid token (not "=") CHOST
!!! Parse error in /etc/make.conf.
!!! Incorrect multiline literals can cause this. Do not use them.
my /etc/make.conf
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-O3 -march=athlon-xp -pipe"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
when i hash CHOST out then i moans about CFLAGS
any ideas thanks
