Post information from /etc/X11/XF86config regarding you mouse.

This is an example of mine.  It works for both my laptop and home
system. 

Identifier  "Mouse1"
Driver      "mouse"
Option "Protocol"    "IMPS/2"
Option "Device"      "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping"  "4 5"
Option "Buttons"        "5"
