If you're suggesting that I'm not "smart enough to edit these files", excuse the f*ck out of me. Can you point me to a DOC at Gentoo's site that details this /var/cache/edb file ?? If so, I'll happily read it so as not to bother you. I've been using Linux for 5 years. Yeah, Gentoo is *new* to me and there are differences that I'm trying to learn.
