You can copy .config from the previous kernel dir, then run genkernel (or genkernel 
--config, if you'd like to modify) to keep all your original selections.  Then, "find 
/var/db/pkg/ -name 'CONTENTS' | xargs grep -sil obj./lib/modules" will tell your what 
needs to be re-emerged.
