I have some problems. I accidentally upgraded my system using the "~x86" keyword. So now I am trying to "downgrade" to a stable system, but it is all messed up.

First of all mount doesn't work because glibc has been downgraded. I get

mount: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3.3' not found (required by mount)

How do I rebuild mount so it uses my current version of glibc?

Also, when I update world it stops with some packages because of a problem with wget. When I try to re-emerge wget I get a compilation syntax error because of some libssl headers. When I try to re-emerge openssl it stops because of wget.

Is there an easy way to just get everything back to "plain and stable" again?

Thank you,

Jesper Frickmann
