I have an hp laptop with a National Semiconductor ethernet controller in it which works perfectly. I'm also running the latest version of mm-sources. Sometimes when I boot up and do not actually have the laptop plugged into the network it gets to the point of bringing up the network interface and just goes right through it and moves on. Then other times it sits there like it is trying to bring the interface up. So I guess I'm not sure why it has different behavior between boots. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
