[gentoo-user] alsa-tools : hdspconf, hdsploader missing!?!

Using latest Alsa-drivers, Alsa-tools [both 0.9.8] from Portage with my 
Hammerfall HDSP PCMCIA soundcard, which quit working in an unexplained 
manner after my last emerge -uUD world. the hdspmixer app reports the 
following:

HDSPMixer 1.1 - Copyright (C) 2003 Thomas Charbonnel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY
HDSPMixer is free software, see the file COPYING for details
Looking for HDSP cards :
Card 0 : RME Hammerfall DSP at 0x19000000, irq 9
Card 1 : Intel 82801CA-ICH3 at 0xe000, irq 9
Card 2 : Virtual MIDI Card 1
No Hammerfall DSP card found.
This indicates to me that the firmware for the card is not loaded, but 
no amount or re-emerging alsa-driver or alsa-tools seems to help!

Then I noticed that hdspconf and hdsploader are not to be found anywhere 
in my system. These are standard parts of alsa-tools since 0.9.3, so 
where are they in the Gentoo system?
