Peter, Actually, this raises another point for me. I started testing Crossover Office in the last month or so. (Around the 6th of November from my email logs.) That's Wine based also. I don't use it much, but I've noticed a couple of other problems since I installed it, like Audacity taking 3-4 minutes to open. The folks on the CxOffice lists pointed me at some semi-known problems relating to CUPS causing these delays, but so far I'm not sure I'm making headway.
