Where are you in the install process? Is the livecd still mounted? Are you in the chroot shell? If this is a finished install, do you have an entry in fstab to support the mount /mnt/cdrom? What error are you getting when you try to mount the cd? Try this: mkdir /mnt/cdrom (should be there, but best to be sure) mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom This should mount the cdrom for you.
