I just wondered if you only typed the IP address into that part of the form? It's what I did and it didn't work. (For me on the HP Deskjet printer I was using which was attached to a Netgear print server.) I ended up doing: lpd://192.168.1.102/P1 I think this ends up in something like /etc/cups/printers.conf so maybe you can send along the contents of that file?
