You could have got to this by either:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ $ emerge -s finger
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ $ esearch finger
both result in:
* net-misc/netkit-fingerd
Latest version available: 0.17-r2
Latest version installed: 0.17-r2
esearch is a _very_ handy program. emerge it now :)
