I have 2 webcams that are supposed to work in Linux and have so in the past.
1. IBM Xirlink usb Webcam
2. Veo Stingray usb Webcam
I have tried quite a few webcam programs and the light comes on, on my webcam, but I dont see a picture generated by any program.. I.E. gnomemeeting, gqcam.. etc.. .etc..
I am using kernel 2.4.23pre9 and 2.4.23 final and have usb support, to include the webcam support and usb devfs compiled into the kernel. usbview shows the camera is there.
Has anyone gotten either one of these webcams to work in Linux? Specifically Gentoo?
I have been to all the usb support pages, and webcam support pages and followed all the directions, but have had no luck.
