OK, to reply to myself, I have Googled a little. It's seems that NPTL is a more efficient form a thread management. Using a dual processor machine (Athlon MP 2400) would I be likely to see a noticeable speed increase if I enabled the nptl use flag and recompiled everything? -- Tom Wesley
