I'm quite familiar with qpkg, as I said portage is quite convinced that I only have 1.2...... """ frank root # qpkg -v -I gtk x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r10 * """
Someone also suggested that I listed a directory.... """ frank root # ls -d /var/db/pkg/x11-libs/gtk* /var/db/pkg/x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r10 """ I have also done some finds...... but nothing I do leads me to belive that gtk+-2.x.x is installed..... AH-HA! Talk about looking in the wrong place.... although XFCE4 is the most recent version it's not what was installed by portage! XFCE4 (xfce-base/xfce4) is a seperate build from XFCE3 (x11-wm/xfce)... I guess I just assumed that they would be slotted. Boy that makes alot more sence. Sorry for the confusion people!
