Hello,
I'm using Gentoo 1.4, I have installed it last week so all ports installed are relatively new.
Now I'm trying to compile php and I always get the same error:
eagle aleksandr # emerge php Calculating dependencies ...done! |>> emerge (1 of 1) dev-php/php-4.3.3-r2 to / |>> md5 src_uri ;-) php-4.3.3.tar.bz2 |>> md5 src_uri ;-) php-4.3.2-fopen-url-secure.patch |>> Unpacking source... ~ * You have the xml USE flag turned off. Previously this ~ * disabled XML support in PHP. However PEAR has a hard ~ * dependancy on it, so they are now enabled. |>> Unpacking php-4.3.3.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/php-4.3.3-r2/work |>> Source unpacked. ~ * JDK version: 1.4.2_02 ~ * Skipping DB2, DB3, DB4, NDBM support creating cache ./config.cache checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for gcc... gcc [...] checking for jpeg_read_header in -ljpeg... no configure: error: libjpeg not found!
!!! ERROR: dev-php/php-4.3.3-r2 failed. !!! Function econf, Line 338, Exitcode 1 !!! econf failed
But I HAVE installed jpeg library, I've checked it with qpkg -I
My USE flags: USE="3dnow sse mmx mysql java samba alsa oss cdr -foomaticdb -gdbm -gtk2 - -gnome -mikmod -motif -berkdb - -quicktime svga unicode dvd apache2"
I get the same error when I try to emerge mod_php.
Is it possible to emerge php and how?
Aleksandr
