I want to have job that runs once a day when I power on my machine. With cron I have the problem that this has to be at a fixed time, yes? Since I switch my machine off when I don' t use it it can often happen that this will not run because the launchtime has been missed. I know that in Suse they had some mechanism for users like me, who don't let their machine run all the time.
So is there something like that I can use in gentoo? I could put that script in a runlevel, but then it will run everytime I reboot. Is there an easy way to limit it to once per day? -- Gerhard Gruber Maintainer of SoftICE for Linux - http://sourceforge.net/projects/pice Fast application launcher - http://sourceforge.net/projects/launchmenu -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
