If you aren't using LVM (and thus can't do what Matthew Kennedy suggested), the easiest thing would probably be to put Debian on the new hard drive, get it working, and then use Debian to tar your gentoo partitions into a file on one of the Debian partitions (hopefully you have enough space). -- Jeremy Maitin-Shepard -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
