What speed/RAM is your laptop?

I have an 8GB partition for Gentoo on a dual PII-300 with 512MB, and
openoffice from source took about 45 hours (yes!) to compile, and pushed my
disk usage to about 75%.

Makes mozilla or KDE downright quick! :)
