The kernel hasnt been changed since the sys has been setup. I run the gaming sources and the modem drivers have to be installed after the sys is setup since the kernel doesnt have conexant drivers built in and that is pretty straight forward. It did the same thing with gentoo's regular kernel. Would the fact that I am running reiserfs have something to do with it? I have read where reiser tends to forget/misplace things from time to time. That's the primary dif between the way this sys and my old rh (ext3) was setup.
