I've been trying to 64-bit my Athlon64 3000+ system. I booted off the latest (21 Dec.) AMD64 LiveCD, and it's spitting out long lists of errors regarding SCSI I/O problems. I have a Tekram controller using the sym53c8xx driver, and the controller works just fine in Win and with a standard 32-bit 2.6 kernel. Unfortunately, I can't seem to compile the 64-bit kernel in 32-bit, but all the SCSI errors make it impossible to do anything at all on the liveCD.
Any suggestions? Any LiveCDs with better kernels I could try?
Thanks,
Bob Raymond
