Yesterday I used dd to take an image of an 8gig NTFS partition with about 3gigs of data, piping it through gzip to a fat32 partition. Killed the NTFS partition by reformatting it partially with the win2k installer. Then reversed the process, putting the data back. Windows booted first time. I had no need, at any point, to load the NTFS kernel module. - -- Mike Williams -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE//ecwInuLMrk7bIwRAsOAAJ0SLChNMIKYFkCpzzsJjdss54ir1gCfRero uC0jaPc7GZykNiC+Fxhn+UY= =tKUe -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
