The OP had installed Windows XP. XP has no fdisk, as far as I know. To install a new mbr under Windows XP: boot from the Windows CD, select "Recovery Console" and run "fixmbr". -- Hilsen Harald. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
