How can I make Gentoo remerge all of the system update packages again? I've done something wrong and I don't want to install the kernel with the state that the system is in currently. I would simply like to remerge (recompile) all of the "system -u update" packages again BY using the same packages. I.E. I don't want to dialup to get the same 80 pkgs. again. :D Can this be done? If so how? Thanks. Basically durng the Stage 2 "system -u update", Gentoo tried loading "autoconf-2.57-r1" and got an error saying that Perl was basically missing. So it would load. I was basically stuck. It appears that this might be a bug. I've found similar problems but not exactlly the same. I think that its a bug becaue autoconf comes before perl. If autoconf depends on perl being installed first then why isn't perl loaded before autoconf? Doesnt' make sense. Thanks, JBanks __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
