what errors do you get if you try running "startx" as a regular user? also check to make sure that (a) all files in /home/<username>/ are owned by that user and that that user can write to /tmp/ -- your old road is rapidly aging please get out of the way if you can't lend a hand for the times they are a changing - bob dylan -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
