Hi, I had a problem today that required that I remove Alsa for a while. In the process I found that I could not run Evolution since it required sound. Even starting it as 'evolution --disable-sound' still acted like it needed sound and it wouldn't run.
Before I start new emerges on Evolution to experiment with it, does anyone know for sure how to build Evolution so that it absolutely will not require sound? I looked at the 1.4.5 ebuild and all of the IUSE values didn't seem to have anything to do with sound. Possilby it's some support feature that requires sound and not Evolution itself, but this eludes the likes of me. Thanks in advance for any insights you can provide.
