i have a scsi card and 3 scsi disks coming in and i want to set it up with as minimum downtime as possible. So i was thinking on setting up the scsi raid on another system and install gentoo on it and configure it. Then i want to plug it all out and plug it all back in on the server, so that i just can reboot and have it running. Does this sound possible ? How can i best copy me server setup to the scsi raid ? Is there some special things that i need to look into ?
