For some reason my newly installed system began giving me some odd error
messages today.. The error messages appear at the end of emerging basically
anything new. Like for instance at the end of emerge mozilla just now:

Then earlier today when I emerged gftp:
>>> net-ftp/gftp-2.0.15 merged.
>>> Recording net-ftp/gftp in "world" favorites file...
!!! Couldn't find match for net-ftp/gftp
>>> clean: No packages selected for removal.
>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
* Caching service dependencies...
>>> Auto-cleaning packages ...

Both mozilla and gftp finished installing and run ok, but those errors persist
on anything new I emerge. Any idea how to fix?
