Well, trying to emerge -u world, and getting stuck now on kde-base/arts-1.1.5.
It gets to the point of looking for STL, and says:
checking if STL implementation is GI like... no
checking if STL implementation is HP like... no
configure: error: "no known STL type found - did you forget to install
libstdc++-devel?
and then, of course, the compile fails.
I do seem to have a variety of libraries of the form libstdc++ and
libstdc++-{2,3}-libc6 and libstdc++-libc6, but no libstdc++-devel.
I would have expected, of course, that if libstdc++-devel was needed, the
arts-1.1.5 package would have had that as a dependency...perhaps not. In any
case, I cannot find anything to install to fix this.
Any ideas?
