Pine is easy to use, but does not handle gpg natively, only through a
plugin.  Give mutt another try...especially after you take some time and
completely remap all its keybindings to your liking.

I may finally get around to playing around with gpg, and looking at mutt.
I just need to make sure it will properly handle an imap inbox.  (It
didn't last time I tried, but it could very well be different now.)
