Yeah, it could be the case. I really do haev alsa 1.0.1 installed. But
i'm pretty sure that i compiled xmms 1.2.8 with this version of alsa.
Do you think that re-emerging xmms 1.2.8 and then updating to 1.2.9
might be useful?
