I did not follow the thread at all, but when I read that, I jump. No, Microsoft does not create features that customers demand. They create features and work very hard at convincing their customers that they need the features. How many "features" of Word does a regular user use? Never thought that the singing and dancing dog (i'nit cute ;-) in the "search" application was just a waste of time and resource. And so on, and so on... Just my 2p. Fred P.S.
