Just for the record, I also have a GForce3 on a old via KX133 board
and I haven't really had any problems using the nvidia ebuilds and
agpgart in the kernel. That being said, I also don't use framebuffer on
this computer either. I have had maybe 2 black screen lockups over the
past ~6 months, but I am not sure if it was nvidia that caused it or not
though.
