I recently replaced my ATI Rage 128 AGP card with an ATI All-in-Wonder Pro (Mach64) AGP card. Now, whenever I try to play anything with MPlayer, it ends up in black and white and the following is output:

<snip>
Trying to force video codec driver family -1...
Opening video decoder: [mpegpes] MPEG 1/2 Video passthrough
VDec: vo config request - 320 x 240 (preferred csp: Mpeg PES)
Could not find matching colorspace - retrying with -vf scale...
Opening video filter: [scale]
The selected video_out device is incompatible with this codec.
VDecoder init failed :(
Opening video decoder: [libmpeg2] MPEG 1/2 Video decoder libmpeg2-v0.3.1
Selected video codec: [mpeg12] vfm:libmpeg2 (MPEG 1 or 2 (libmpeg2))
<snip>

I'm using the xv output driver. If I switch to the x11 output driver, I get color again, but the x11 driver doesn't support scaling with the 'xy=n' parameter. I'm using the ati-gatos drivers for my card. Everything else in X works just fine (except DRM). Its running at 1024x768 24-bit color. 'xvinfo' shows that xv is enabled on the adapter. Can anyone give me any clues as to what is going on?
