that was perfect! thank you very much. now the only other problem i have is that my fonts are a bit too large when enlightenment starts. Again, the 'gnome-settings-daemon' was taking care of this and I can't figure out how to set it in any config files. Please advise. FWIW, running 1600x1200 on a 19" crt.
