You ever used esearch? If you `emerge esearch && eupdatedb` then `esearch -e pckagename` it will show all versions of the available ebuilds. Also, `esync` will update the tree and show the differences. Just thought I would butt in with that :-)

Many thanks. I have been using esearch for a couple of weeks now, but wasn't aware of these functions.
