Somehow I prefer the virgin nvidia.com 5336 package over the builds, I
just download it and run the .run file and it installs beautifully.

configure your system to autoload nvidia.o and you are ready to enjoy X in 
all its beauty. Once you run x, run a 3d game and see if the frame rates 
are adequate and gl is working.
