Thanks for that, but what I omitted from my original post was that I'd
like to:

    1. use PopFile or SpamAssassin to identify the spam on my local
       machine.

    2. both download mail _and_ delete it from the server.  The KMail
       POP filter doesn't seem to handle this - I can delete _or_
       download...

I'm now trying out Thunderbird (Mozilla's toooo fat) and also
Evolution (even though it's disturbingly like MS LookOut).
Can anyone tell me how to change the menu fonts on Evo?  They look
awful.
