If you don't need 3D and hardware acceleration, in /etc/X11/xorg.conf change nvidia to nv. It will use the open source nvidia driver included with xorg and the kernel you're running. Plus it doesn't need to be changed when you change kernels. That should give an idea if it's the Nvidia driver - 6111, or Xorg causing the problem. Bob - -- [email protected] mailing list
