Oh, I had XSESSION=xfce4 (all lowercase)...

I had an xsession which I copied from my ~/.xinitrc, although this didn't
contain the 'exec' before 'startxfce4'. So, close :-/

Xfce4 is a nonexisting choice in my session menu...
