I'm trying to add a set of users using the format forename.surname
When i add the user by hand to the passwd file it works fine but useradd barfs
useradd joe.blogs useradd: invalid user name 'joe.blogs'
Is there a good reason (security?) for this? How/where can I allow name.name as usernames?
