If you get an error like this: libtool: link: `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la' is not a valid libtool archive
during an emerge, the solution is: (as root) fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.4 Please retrict any further queries on this issue to this thread.
