I've got a Palm Zire 71 that's syncing under Linux. I use Gnome, so I've
got it running with Evolution and the gnome-pilot-daemon - drop the Palm in
the cradle and hit the hotsync button and off it goes. Evolution picks it
up just fine. Apparently there's an issue with Evolution and To-do
categories but as I don't use those it's not an issue for me.

I've also used J-Pilot - it works very well. I still use it to do software
installation onto the Palm. One caveat with that is you have to remember to
disable the gnome-pilot-daemon when trying to sync using j-pilot. It's a
bit embarrassing how long it took me to figure that one out. :)
