Hi, Are you loading drivers for both cards? Check modprobe.conf. I sort of remember hearing that alsaconf will only configure a single card.
Also, check the Alsa site for more instructions about setting the order of the two cards using the 'options' command in modprobe.conf. If you want two cards then you want to know which is card 0 and which is card 1.
